The Tracking Workspace

The Tracking Workspace is designed for daily standups and mid-sprint check-ins. Rather than waiting for a sprint to end to discover that tasks are late, the Tracking Workspace flags issues that are trending toward or exceeding their high estimates while work is in flight.

Default Workspace Presets

When you select the Tracking workspace:

  • Status Filter: Automatically isolates active work by filtering to the In Progress status category.
  • Default Sort (Progress): Sorts issues descending by the percentage of the High estimate that has been consumed by logged work (Total Logged / High Estimate). Runaway tasks surface to the top immediately.

Tracking Scorecards

1. Project Progress Card

Displays a high-level progress bar representing cumulative logged time against the project's estimated milestones:

  • Full Bar Width: Represents zero to the total High estimate.
  • Low Estimate Marker: A vertical tick indicating when the optimistic project floor was reached.
  • High Estimate Marker: The right boundary representing the project ceiling.
  • Logged Work Fill: A blue fill displaying total logged time and the exact percentage of the budget consumed so far.

2. Actions Card (Early Warnings)

Actively monitors in-progress tasks for budget overruns:

  • Issues Over Estimate:
    • If all active tasks are within their ceiling: displays a green No Issues Over Estimate message.
    • If any tasks have logged work exceeding their High estimate: displays a red alert: X Issues Over Estimate with a View Issues button that filters the WBS table directly to those tickets.
  • Issues At Risk (Approaching High):
    • If no active tasks are nearing their ceiling: displays a green No Issues At Risk message.
    • If tasks have consumed more than 90% of their High estimate without being completed: displays an orange warning: X Issues At Risk with a View Issues button to isolate them.

Daily Standup Workflows

Use the Tracking view during daily standups to catch blockers early:

  1. Open the Tracking Workspace for your active sprint or project.
  2. Look at the Issues At Risk count. If tasks are at risk, click View Issues to see which tickets are stalling.
